Hey there, don't be shy

LITTLE Foodie Favourites: Best coffee in Leeds

At LITTLE we love the smell of coffee in the morning: it’s an addiction! With this in mind, I wanted to share with you the best coffee in Leeds! Picked for their great service, tasty treats, and damn fine coffee – these independents won’t let you down when you need that all important caffeine boost!

Bottega Milanese

With two outlets (one at The Light, and one behind HSBC on Russell Street) these wild italian coffee makers have been delighting the people of Leeds since 2009.

Wearing cooler than cool aprons, and serving up the creamiest, most luxurious flat white in Leeds they hit the spot every time. Not only is the coffee spot on, you can also treat yourself to mini Italian pastries called ‘Cannoli’ and there’s an awesome selection of freshly made lasagna, parmigiana and hot sandwiches.

Cafe 164

Situated opposite my very favourite book shop (Colours May Vary) on the ground floor of Munro House, Cafe 164 has a hustle and bustle feel to it that I love. Connected to an art space with rotating exhibitions, with creatives aplenty meeting up for important chats – this is the arty centre of Leeds.

With guest blends always available, fresh sandwiches and sweet bakes, this is the perfect place to pull up a seat, watch the world go by and sip your latte in style!

Layne’s Coffee

Nestled beside Leeds train station, Layne’s Espresso is open 7 days a week serving the commuters of our great city. Their Cappuccinos are a fluffy dream, and the beans they use in all of their coffees are rich and dreamy.

With a cosy, handmade feel to the place, they have seating on the ground and lower ground floors, plus a bench outside for soaking up Leeds’ rare rays of sunshine! I highly recommend their salted caramel brownie, it’s a diet ruiner for sure, but hey ho, who cares when it tastes so good?
